Oh, what a tangled web...Obama's Watergate?

Deep Throat: You let Haldeman slip away.

Woodward: Yes.

Deep Throat: You've done worse than let Haldeman slip away, you've got people feeling sorry for him. I didn't think that was possible. In a conspiracy like this, you build from the outer edges and go step by step. If you shoot too high and miss, everybody feels more secure. You've put the investigation back months.

Woodward: Yes, we know that. And if we're wrong, we're resigning. Were we wrong?

Fast forward to 2010

Clinton: Joe. Obama has already endorsed Specter. If you drop out of the race against Specter, we can get you a cush job in the regime.

Joe Sestak: No.

Clinton: We know that Obama isn't going to get a second term. We need you to drop out of the primary so Arlen can hold his seat and we can keep a majority in Congress.

Joe Sestak: No.

Clinton: Look, Joe. Rahm has promised me that he can get you a top level job in the regime. We need you to stay in the House of Representatives because of your military background.

Joe Sestak: No. If I'm wrong, then they won't vote me into the Senate during the election.

It's almost as if the above scenario between Bill Clinton and Joe Sestak was taken right out of All the President's Men. Of course, it's my own opinion based on current news reports, but, probably close to the truth.

And the usual round table discussions and Monday quarterbacking are already asking who knew what and when did they know it. Then comes the obligatory circling of the wagons by the state run media in defense of Obama and his administration, echoing their master that nothing improper happened.

And it's all irrelevant. A crime was committed the moment Bill Clinton asked Sestak to drop out of the race against Arlen Specter and in return, he would get a top level position in the administration. It's called bribery.

According to 18 U.S.C. § 201 : US Code - Section 201: Bribery of public officials and witnesses
(b) Whoever -
(1) directly or indirectly, corruptly gives, offers or promises
anything of value to any public official or person who has been
selected to be a public official, or offers or promises any
public official or any person who has been selected to be a
public official to give anything of value to any other person or
entity, with intent -
(A) to influence any official act

Up to now it's nothing more than a "He said/He said" situation. But, it is a serious one. Here we have a government official that is making the allegation that the Obama administration made him a job offer if he dropped out of the Pennsylvania primary against Arlen Specter, whom the President had already endorsed. To say that such an allegation is a serious one is an understatement, because if true, then it's an impeachable offense.

For Obama to say that nothing improper happened is already a lie, because it is now running across the news wires that Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel had asked Bill Clinton to do his bidding. This is a crime.

So. (A) Either Sestak is lying, (B) He's covering for the White House (C) Obama, Rahm Emmanuel and Clinton are lying, or (D) All the above.

Will this be Obama's Watergate? It damn well should be. If this were to occur during the Bush administration, we would never hear the end of it.

Denial isn't just a river in Egypt

Doctors and psychologists say that the first step to recovery for an alcoholic or drug abuser is admitting they have a problem, if they don't do that first, the problem will continue and progressively get worse.

So it seems with other aspects of day to day life.

Nearly nine years after the September 11 attacks and the subsequent response in Iraq and Afghanistan, there have been twenty four failed or foiled attempts of terrorism in the United States.

December 2001, Richard Reid: British citizen attempted to ignite shoe bomb on flight from Paris to Miami.

May 2002, Jose Padilla: American citizen accused of seeking radioactive-laced "dirty bomb" to use in an attack against America. Padilla was convicted of conspiracy in August, 2007.

September 2002, Lackawanna Six: American citizens of Yemeni origin convicted of supporting Al Qaeda after attending jihadist camp in Pakistan. Five of six were from Lackawanna, N.Y.

May 2003, Iyman Faris: American citizen charged with plotting to use blowtorches to collapse the Brooklyn Bridge.

June 2003, Virginia Jihad Network: Eleven men from Alexandria, Va., trained for jihad against American soldiers, convicted of violating the Neutrality Act, conspiracy.

August 2004, Dhiren Barot: Indian-born leader of terror cell plotted bombings on financial centers.

August 2004, James Elshafay and Shahawar Matin Siraj: Sought to plant bomb at New York's Penn Station during the Republican National Convention.

August 2004, Yassin Aref and Mohammed Hossain: Plotted to assassinate a Pakistani diplomat on American soil.

June 2005, Father and son Umer Hayat and Hamid Hayat: Son convicted of attending terrorist training camp in Pakistan; father convicted of customs violation.

August 2005, Kevin James, Levar Haley Washington, Gregory Vernon Patterson and Hammad Riaz Samana: Los Angeles homegrown terrorists who plotted to attack National Guard, LAX, two synagogues and Israeli consulate.

December 2005, Michael Reynolds: Plotted to blow up natural gas refinery in Wyoming, the Transcontinental Pipeline, and a refinery in New Jersey. Reynolds was sentenced to 30 years in prison.

February 2006, Mohammad Zaki Amawi, Marwan Othman El-Hindi and Zand Wassim Mazloum: Accused of providing material support to terrorists, making bombs for use in Iraq.

April 2006, Syed Haris Ahmed and Ehsanul Islam Sadequee: Cased and videotaped the Capitol and World Bank for a terrorist organization.

June 2006, Narseal Batiste, Patrick Abraham, Stanley Grant Phanor, Naudimar Herrera, Burson Augustin, Lyglenson Lemorin, and Rotschild Augstine: Accused of plotting to blow up the Sears Tower.

July 2006, Assem Hammoud: Accused of plotting to bomb New York City train tunnels.

August 2006, Liquid Explosives Plot: Thwarted plot to explode ten airliners over the United States.

March 2007, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed: Mastermind of Sept. 11 and author of numerous plots confessed in court in March 2007 to planning to destroy skyscrapers in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. Mohammedalso plotted to assassinate Pope John Paul II and former President Bill Clinton.

May 2007, Fort Dix Plot: Six men accused of plotting to attack Fort Dix Army base in New Jersey. The plan included attacking and killing soldiers using assault rifles and grenades.

June 2007, JFK Plot: Four men are accused of plotting to blow up fuel arteries that run through residential neighborhoods at JFK Airport in New York.

September 2007, Islamic Jihad Union: German authorities disrupt a terrorist cell that was planning attacks on military installations and facilities used by Americans in Germany. The Germans arrested three suspected members of the Islamic Jihad Union, a group that has links to Al Qaeda and supports Al Qaeda's global jihadist agenda.

September 20, 2009, Najibullah Zazi: Authorities arrested a Denver-area airport shuttle driver, his father and another man late Saturday in connection with a suspected plot to launch a terrorist attack within the United States. On February 22, 2010, he pleaded guilty of conspiring to detonate explosives in the United States.

November 5, 2009, Major Nidal Malik Hasan: After entering a reception center at Fort Hood, Texas, he shot and killed 13 service members and civilian employees. He was shot by a Department of Defense police officer and paralyzed from the waist down.

December 25, 2009, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab: A Muslim Nigerian citizen who attempted to detonate plastic explosives hidden in his underwear while on board Northwest Airlines Flight 253, en route from Amsterdam to Detroit, Michigan, on December 25, 2009.

May 1, 2010, Times Square, Faisal Shahzad: A naturalized Pakistani, authorities have arrested and charged him plotting to explode a massive car bomb in Times Square New York.

The attempted bombing in Times Square sent the state run, lamestream media into overdrive. Senator Charles Schumer stated that it was probably a "lone wolf". Mayor Bloomberg tried to link the attempt to someone with a "political agenda who doesn't like the health care bill or something." Janet Napolitano said that it was being treated as a "potential" terrorist attack and was probably an isolated incident.

And the state run, lamestream media went even further, absurdly. Contessa Brewer at MessNBC stated, "I get frustrated...There was part of me that was hoping this was not going to be anybody with ties to any kind of Islamic country." [audio]. The lunatic fringe bloggers at the Daily Kos took a poll shortly after the event was broadcasted showed that 32% felt it was a tea partier.

When you get down to it, the lamestream media was hoping that the events that took place in Times Square was going to have a Tea Party connection. Now that events have unfolded, will they start back tracking? Not likely, it doesn't fit their template.

All Muslims are not terrorists, but, most terrorists are. The average American gets it, yet many of our politicians and the lamestream media doesn't. Until they admit they have a problem with not recognizing that Muslim extremists want to kill American citizens, it will continue.

Our security agencies have to be right 100% of the time, a terrorist only has to be right once.

I can find left-wing media bias all day. But, where's the Tea Party hate? I fail to see it.

"I have never in my life learned anything from any man who agreed with me."

- Dudley Field Malone

"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."

- Martin Luther King Jr.

There is no doubt, whatsoever, that the left wing media has lost all credibility and for those viewers that watch these news outlets are either doing so to report bias or are true believers of the progressive cause. Judging by the reportage of the Tea Party movement and the recent riots in Arizona, shows without question that the left wing media is complicit with furthering Obama's agenda instead of reporting the facts.

Want proof? Phil Griffin, president of MessNBC reported in the Chicago Tribune that the niche that has been carved out is a left leaning one and a "hard right" show wouldn't fit. He still doesn't get it. It has little, if anything, to do with left or right. The majority of people in America are conservative in their principles. When someone turns on the news and are greeted with Keith Olbermann ranting, Rachel Maddow distorting the facts and the like, they typically don't have the stomach for listening to hate filled rhetoric.

Now, you may say that Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin are little different or worse, but consider this: Why do these commentators constantly beat their competitors in ratings on a daily basis...combined? Since this is an unquestionable fact, what are they doing differently that would garner all these sky high ratings on a daily basis?

There is no one single answer. However, even though each of these commentators has a slightly different message and the vehicle they use to deliver it, they have one common theme. They don't care if the person is right, left, liberal or conservative, if he or she says or does something that puts the spotlight on themselves, they become the verbal punching bag of the day or week depending on the severity of their actions.

With Glenn Beck, it's progressivism and getting back to the roots of the Founders. With Limbaugh, it's the "drive-by" media. Mark Levin it's "repubicans" and statism, etc...and it's entertaining. After all, who wants to watch or listen to someone talking with another that always agrees? How do you learn if you always agree with someone or vice versa?

When the Tea Party movement started when the suggestion was made by Rick Santelli, he was laughed at. Now the left wing media can't seem to stop talking about it, albeit in a slanted and often distorted fashion. I was told years ago that when you become a constant topic of conversation, you got their attention, good or bad. To date, I have yet to read or hear anyone associated with the Tea Party movement being arrested, much less accosted by law enforcement.

So, my question to the media is, "Where's the Tea Party hate?"

Here's what hate really is:

Why isn't the media reporting the riots that are cropping in Arizona? But, will go out of their way to find something nonexistent in a Tea Party rally. Rather than being reporters of facts and the truth, the left wing media has become the "Cut and Paste" lap dogs of bloggers that sit in their basements with a TV, bag of Doritos and Red Bull.

Politics is a divisive topic. When it gets murky, people want to know the facts and the truth, they don't want hateful rhetoric and deliberately skewed reporting.

In closing, I would like to echo what H.L. Mencken once said about truth:

"Truth would quickly cease to be stranger than fiction, once we got as used to it."

I guess when you get down to it, journalism is dead.
