This law firm represents Joe McGinniss. It has come to our attention that the first episode (titled “Mamma Grizzly”) of the above referenced television show, scheduled to air on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at 9:00 PM on TLC, contains unauthorized videotaped images of Mr. McGinniss which were obtained without his knowledge or consent. In addition, you have already placed a video clip containing this image of Mr. McGinniss on your website and it has been picked up and reproduced by the Huffington Post and many other online sites.

Mr. McGinniss was not asked if any production crew could videotape him as he read a book on the secluded deck of the house he was living in at that time. He was not aware that any camera crew was in fact videotaping him. Mr. McGinniss had a reasonable expectation of privacy under those circumstances. The mere taking of the video therefore gives rise to an actionable claim for invasion of his privacy. The publication of the video on your website and in the television show constitutes an additional wrong – the unauthorized use of the likeness of Mr. McGinniss. Finally, the manner in which Ms. Palin describes Mr. McGinniss in the episode is defamatory: Mr. McGinniss has never invaded the Palins’ privacy, contrary to the many statements made by Ms. Palin and her husband, both prior to this television production, and now repeated in the episode referenced above.

DEMAND IS HEREBY MADE upon each of you that all images of Mr. McGinniss be removed from any television show produced by any of you, and removed from any website controlled or operated by any of you. If you do not do so, Mr. McGinniss will be forced to pursue all his available remedies. Please confirm in writing by November 12, 2010, to this office that you will remove these images.

Mr. McGinniss reserves all of his rights.

Gloria Steinem - About as unenlightened as they get

It is often said that you never learn anything new from someone who always agrees with you. I would like to amend that with, "you also never learn anything new from someone that's uneducated."

Responding to Sarah Palin on Katie Couric's panel of the unenlightened, Gloria Steinem says:

"You can't be a feminist who says other women can't have an abortion."

Really? Says who? Well, Gloria Steinem says and she further states in regards to Carly Fiorina:

"I defend their right to be wrong."

So let me make sure I understand this. If a woman is pro choice and chooses life, then she is wrong and not a feminist?

This ranks right up there with the ten most stupidest things ever uttered by a human being. What I seen from the "interview" with Couric's "enlightened" panel was fear.

Why All The Fear?

Once again, Sarah Palin is fast becoming the number one topic of conversation among political pundits and loud mouth, race hustlers like Chris Matthews. I've said it once and I'll say it again, ad nauseum if I have to, that you know when a person is feared when they are a constant topic of conversation. Last night, I was watching Bill O'Reilly interviewing Bernie Goldberg in regards to O'Reilly's first interview segment with Sarah Palin. Goldberg, as usual, nailed it, paraphrasing, he said, "If you hated Sarah Palin going into the interview, you're going to come away hating her. If you went into the interview liking her, you'll come away liking her...". Listening to Rush Limbaugh this morning, he had a brief dust up with a caller that was obviously scared witless of Sarah Palin. Rush, being quick on his feet, asked the caller why he feared her. The caller answered a question with a question and shot back at Rush, why he feared Obama. Being Rush, he quickly answered the distraught caller's question that Obama is destroying the country with his policies. Rush then demanded reciprocation and the caller answered with mindless gibberish and claptrap. Then Rush asked the ultimate question, which was more of a statement, again, I am paraphrasing, "What is it about this woman that drives you so crazy?  She can't do a damn thing to you, Jerry." (Full transcript). And that's the question. Why do people fear Sarah Palin when she is no position of power? The answer to this perplexing question is simple. It's jealous envy and fear. People, particularly liberals and liberal women, despise and fear her because they fear her popularity. Because they know that if she decides to make a 2012 run, she can do some considerable damage, not only to any potential democrat, but also to the GOP if she runs on a third party ticket. What this means is that the more independent support she gets, the more democrats and RINO's get really nervous. Despite his loss in NY-23 (which I suspect will be contested as the absentee ballots are being counted), Doug Hoffman surged dramatically in the polls when Sarah Palin publicly endorsed him. This is of massive import, because Doug Hoffman ran against Bill Owens (D) and Dede Scozzafava (RINO) on a third party ticket. Another indication that the she is feared is the fact that the fringe, state run media has to resort to badgering a 17 year old girl at a Sarah Palin book signing event: A Rasmussen poll posted on November 17 on the Admonition blog, shows that she is more popular than Barack Obama and this is at the heart of the fear. You can see the poll here. We all know that Obama is a one termer and liberals know it. They also know that a 2012 Sarah Palin ticket could also mean a potential win and they will stop at nothing to destroy her at all costs.

Does America Need A Mother's Touch?

Ever since Sarah Palin was introduced to America during the 2008 campaign, she continues to be the hottest name in politics. Will she make a 2012 presidential run or will she wait it out to 2016?

During her first visit to China about a week ago, you would think that it was her very first campaign speech. Despite criticism among Democrats and Republicans, particularly after her abrupt resignation as governor of Alaska, she seems to be blazing a trail across the world promoting Conservative values and blasting the policies of our current president.

And it's resonating.

After her VP speech during the RNC convention last year, she rekindled the Conservative movement that continues to grow on a daily basis. But, she also showed us something more.

She's down to earth and it's difficult to distinguish her from your next door neighbor. That's what is causing her popularity among average, every day Americans to rise; looking at her current Facebook page, she is quickly nearing 1,000,000 fans, despite some of them being trolls who post drive by vitriolic comments. And wherever she goes, she is sure to attract attention and draw a crowd.

Her new book, Going Rogue: An American Life is scheduled to release on November 17 and it has already shot to number 1 on pre-order sales. For someone that is constantly vilified, why does she remain so popular and why does it continue to grow on a daily basis? Could it be that she is down to earth? She says what she means? She doesn't sugarcoat anything? She identifies with the common everyday American? She's a woman?

Maybe it's high time that our country needs a mother's touch. After all, this country finally tore through the disgusting, hateful racism and elected our first African-American. Why not go further and elect the first woman? Not even a year into his first term, Obama has already shown us his true colors and slipped in the polls faster than any other president in history.

And do we really need to go down the road of Congresses popularity?

What has Obama given us thus far? A 9.7% unemployment rate, a national debt that has robbed our grand children, constantly blaming the previous administration for his own follies, not that they don't deserve any and gallivanting across the nation continuing to campaign. The list can go on. Suffice it to say that he doesn't seem to realize that the 2008 campaigns are over.

And I'll ask the question: Can we do any worse by replacing Carter's second term with Sarah? And if you try to use the "lack of skills" argument, may I turn your attention to our current president and his skills? Sarah Palin is the only governor that I am aware of that had the highest popularity rating of any sitting governor in the 20th and and 21st centuries. And not just any governor. She was running a state that provides the bulk of this country's energy needs. What has Obama run in his past experience? A community organizer and a 140+ day stint in the Senate?

If you are an employer, which curriculum vitae would you accept?

But what she has to do is gather support from the Indies. If she is trying to gather momentum for a 2012 run, getting them on her side is the top priority; many Conservatives and Republicans already support her. Without the Independents, she'll probably come out of the gate in the lead, but it will eventually cause her to fall behind.

But, the ultimate question is will she have a chance if she decides to run?

You betcha!

And it's scaring the living daylights out of liberals, democrats and progressives.

Sarah Palin - Anatomy of A Smear

If you're scared, say your scared. But don't run around the country and smear someone just because you are afraid of them.

You know when someone is scared of another when the person they fear is a constant topic of conversation. So it seems with democrats and Sarah Palin. I have never seen so much fear of one person as I have with the media and democrat politicians and their fear of this woman; any time this woman thinks about making a statement, either on her Facebook page or on the air, the MSM jumps on it like a cat does a mouse.

Then MSNBC, CNN, NBC and the rest of their ilk milks it in an attempt to boost their ratings to more than 20 viewers. At least they can thank her for the boost instead of smearing her every chance they get.

Here we have a woman that was mayor of a small town in Alaska, then took on the Republican good ol' boys in the oil companies and sent them packing and eventually becoming governor of a state that provides the bulk of the USA's energy. One would think that she would be lauded as a role model for women and their struggle to make it in the cesspool of politics, but no, she is castigated, smeared and in my opinion defamed by people that have an abject fear of her.

And the media doesn't just smear her. They seem to have a penchant for going after her family.

Let's peer into the past and recall some of the "unbiased" reportage of her by the mainstream media.

Remember Lyda Green? She complained that nobody had asked her about Sarah when she was vetted. She was also the same person that tried to create a scheduling conflict so Sarah would miss her son's graduation.

What about the defamatory claim by that ragtag group of people at the Huffington Post, who made the wild claim that Trig's mother is Bristol?

And what about the smear campaign from that trustworthy National Enquirer about Track Palin?

Then there was the accusation that she was a secessionist.

Rachel Maddow smeared Sarah by claiming she is anti Semitic.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. As a last note, she has beaten all of those frivolous ethics charges filed against her.

These personal attacks and smear campaigns tells me that these people are scared witless of this woman. Why else is she a hot button issue? If she were insignificant, you definitely wouldn't be seeing her on the news as much as she has been, in fact she would be a non issue like Cindy Sheehan or Mitt Romney. Speaking of which, why isn't the media going after 2012  Republican presidential hopefuls like they do Sarah?

Folks, this is abject fear. Anyone, be it man or woman, who causes this sort of vitriolic behavior towards them can't characterize it as anything else.

Real classy stuff coming from "educated" people, isn't it?

Now they label her as a quitter and a lame duck after she stepped down as governor, because she felt that it was in Alaska taxpayer's best interest when fighting those unfounded ethics complaints.

I think the fear she is putting into these people is based largely on the possibility that she may make a run in 2012, particularly when there seems to be enablers, such as Newt Gingrich et al. What I mean is now that the 2008 presidential election campaign has came and went, what other reasons could there be? During her convention speech, she set the spark that rekindled the Conservative movement and this would surely be cause for concern as far as Obama getting another term goes.

And if Obama and his cronies keep going down the road they are currently on, then yes, I would say that the democrats have much to worry about in Sarah Palin.

Who's Government?

About 230 years ago, a man with the most basic of an education set sail for the colonies to make a new life for himself. Two years after his arrival he watched the oppression of his fellow colonists by the British. This individual decided that he had seen enough and acted by putting his thoughts onto paper, then anonymously publishing a pamphlet in 1776 that would ultimately lead to a fait accompli, or what we all know to be the American Revolution and...

Freedom.

That person was Thomas Paine and his pamphlet is called Common Sense. I am of the opinion that we are headed for another revolution, though the path is murky and instead of bullets, we use the ballot box. After all, the oppression and abuse being committed by our government today is really no different than it was in 1776.

The current topic of the day is government run health care; a 1017 page monstrosity that will ultimately lead to the destruction of the private industry and freedom of choice being ripped away from us. With town hall meetings erupting into near chaos because of real American passion, fear and deliberate instigation by SEIU thugs, will we see that revolution in 2102 at the ballot box?

You betcha!

Why is it that members of Congress castigate the rich and claim to be for the middle class and down trodden, when these very same people are about $30,000 a year short of being one of those rich villains? Currently, middle class America has an income of about $40,000 - $50,000 per year, yet members of Congress earn about $175,000 per year, which as you should know, is more than the 95% of those people that President Obama promised he wouldn't tax. I personally don't have anything against anyone for being wealthy or trying to become wealthy, except when they steal and demonize those who are.

Members of Congress are doing both of these.

They are also trying to pass bills into law when they don't even have a clue what they contain AND they are telling us that they must be signed into law quickly; one woman was quoting from the bill to Arlen Spector and he responded that what she had just read wasn't in it!

Then there is the President himself. Arrogant with a chip on his shoulder who can't take criticism from his fellow countrymen. Below is an excerpt from Thomas Paine's Common Sense that I think should serve as a reminder of what this country fought, bled and died for and what we are seeing this very day.

No man was a warmer wisher for reconciliation than myself, before the fatal nineteenth of April, 1775 (Massacre at Lexington), but the moment the event of that day was made known, I rejected the hardened, sullen tempered Pharaoh of England for ever; and disdain the wretch, that with the pretended title of Father of his people, can unfeelingly hear of their slaughter, and composedly sleep with their blood upon his soul.


But admitting that matters were now made up, what would be the event? I answer, the ruin of the continent. And that for several reasons:

First. The powers of governing still remaining in the hands of the king, he will have a negative over the whole legislation of this continent. And as he hath shown himself such an inveterate enemy to liberty, and discovered such a thirst for arbitrary power, is he, or is he not, a proper man to say to these colonies, “You shall make no laws but what I please?” And is there any inhabitants in America so ignorant, as not to know, that according to what is called the present constitution, that this continent can make no laws but what the king gives leave to? and is there any man so unwise, as not to see, that (considering what has happened) he will suffer no Law to be made here, but such as suit his purpose? We may be as effectually enslaved by the want of laws in America, as by submitting to laws made for us in England. After matters are make up (as it is called) can there be any doubt but the whole power of the crown will be exerted, to keep this continent as low and humble as possible? Instead of going forward we shall go backward, or be perpetually quarrelling or ridiculously petitioning. We are already greater than the king wishes us to be, and will he not hereafter endeavor to make us less? To bring the matter to one point. Is the power who is jealous of our prosperity, a proper power to govern us? Whoever says No to this question is an independent, for independency means no more, than, whether we shall make our own laws, or whether the king, the greatest enemy this continent hath, or can have, shall tell us, “there shall be now laws but such as I like.”

But the king you will say has a negative in England; the people there can make no laws without his consent. in point of right and good order, there is something very ridiculous, that a youth of twenty-one (which hath often happened) shall say to several millions of people, older and wiser than himself, I forbid this or that act of yours to be law. But in this place I decline this sort of reply, though I will never cease to expose the absurdity of it, and only answer, that England being the king’s residence, and America not so, make quite another case. The king’s negative here is ten times more dangerous and fatal than it can be in England, for there he will scarcely refuse his consent to a bill for putting England into as strong a state of defence as possible, and in America he would never suffer such a bill to be passed.

Does this remind you of our president? It does to me. Come 2012, if Sarah Palin decides to make a run for the Oval Office, she will get my vote.
